Nicole Ari Parker is an American stage and film actress who is known for her role as the fierce attorney Teri Joseph in the Showtime series Soul Food. Her name is currently her married name, Nikki Kodjoe. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland she showed an inclination toward acting since the age of five and was awarded an award for the best Actress award in the Maryland high school competition. When she graduated from high-school with an all-inclusive tuition grant to the University of Toronto where she pursued theatre studies with a double degree in psychology and Sociology. Contractor landed her first role following her first year at university. The production she appeared in were praised by Canadian theater critics. The conservatory in Stratford takes eight people as well as four females as well as a few additional people to take a 20 weeks of crash courses. Contractor got a confirmed place for the next season, and was offered the part as Hermia.
